This page is used to change the sampling, frame rate, and interlace of the camera video format.
Panavision recommends shooting features at 4:4:4 23.98 fps
CURRENT displays the sampling and frame rate format of the camera:
NEXT displays the camera format after the next power off/on cycle

There are two sampling formats:
The 4:4:4 RGB sampling format is associated with 5 fixed frame rates and 2 variable frame capture rates :
The 2 variable speed capture 4:4:4 rates are:
The 4:2:2 YPbPr sampling format is associated with all of the above frame rates, as well as these additional frame rates: 59,94, 60 fps
The difference between the two variable rates is the playback speed, either 29.97 fps or 30 fps. The recording speed is set by the FPS on the LCD Menu Panel or page U1 or page P14
4:2:2 represents the ratio of Luminance (Y) information to the Blue and Red color difference signals. For every 4 samples of luminance there are 2 samples of each of the color difference components.
4:4:4 represents an even ratio between the Red, Green and Blue components of the signal. It is better quality than 4:2:2
Progressive Scan means that the entire frame is captured at once, like film. Interlace Scan means that every odd line is captured in one moment, and then every even line in the next moment.
Segmented Frame indicates that the Progressive Frame is broken down into 2 Fields (half-frames) for recording purposes.
